Show Me How Beautiful Life Really Is
Show me how beautiful life is. Show me what you’re hiding behind that smile and what makes you wake up like a hurricane. Tell me what you think as you stare into the emptiness on your face for a happy look. Tell me how you love the smell of rain… even if it wets you thoroughly. Tell me how wet the grass is your greatest joy.
Tell me, is it you who draws the rainbow in the sky, or is it a coincidence? Yes, the rainbow you create when my sky turns gray and drops run down my body. When you remind me that water gives color to life.
Above all, show me that life is beautiful.
Remind me how beautiful everything is when you cover it with your eyes that see only negativity. Tell me over and over again that we all go through storms, but they all come and go.
Don’t let me drown in my sorrows and surrender when grief tries to convince me that my only option is to complain.
Teach me how wonderful it is to see life in color
Show me how you ignore the darkness of the world and see everything in color. Let me know how I can see things differently and lighten my burden.
Help me stop thinking about the things that hurt me and break me, that always seem to go wrong, and that make me think that life is just a failure. A failure that presses on my shoulders and fills me with despair.
When that happens to you, how do you prevent it from ruining everything? How do you turn that black hole into a star?
Remind me how beautiful the clouds are, even though they hide from the sun. Remind me when I forget to see the beautiful things around me. Reassure me that there are absolutes in life that transcend everything we are able to think, imagine, or wish for.
Call me if necessary. Say over and over again that you can see the beauty of life in everything, for we always have the power to decide how we see what happens to us. We all fall and rise, but few of us know how to take away something positive from what dumped us on the ground.
Teach me not to give up, to trust in my own worth
Teach me not to give up, teach me to trust my own worth. The truth is that I feel too small to face this world where there are endless obstacles and roads go in so many different directions, so many different routes, without any signage.
I’m afraid I’ll fall into an obstacle that’s bigger than me. Above all, teach me not to have to teach myself, to be independent of anyone. For no one is more valuable than I am.
Remind me that we walk through life alone, even though there are people like you who give us their hands. This is very important because my teaching is not my commitment. My teaching is not dependent on what I do.
Instead, my teaching is to show how to be free and also how to face those things that don’t fit my view of the world.
Life is Beautiful
The beauty of life, every heartbeat, lies in learning about the good things around it. In accepting the bad things that come up, either to change them or to incorporate them into your own story in a way that does no harm.
Smile whenever you can, wherever you can, no matter what you try to do. And live – live fearlessly until you take your last breath.
Teach me that this is truly the beauty of life.
Finally, Remind me that I must dare to let go of your hand and appreciate everything you taught me.
Signed: student, your student, the one who looks at you hopefully.
