The Law Of Attraction: Does It Really Exist?
The law of attraction. You’ve probably heard of it before. However, we are not talking about the psychology of attraction focused on romantic relationships, but rather about personal development, which has become quite a topic of conversation in recent years.
For example, we can think of happiness as our next action; our strong desire to lead to optimism and confidence in the fulfillment of all our desires. Such ideas give the simplest form to the well-known “law of attraction,” according to which certain energy waves affect the attainment of our benefits.
“We are what we think,” the law of attraction states. We develop our mental state through the fine, harmonious vibrations that our thoughts cause. They are both a cause and a means to get things done.
Is all this really possible then? And above all, can we keep it reliable? Given the importance of the law of attraction, especially in the waves of our personal development, it is worth exploring the subject in more detail.
Fundamentals of the Law of Attraction
The “law of attraction” is by no means a new concept. It has its roots in classical theosophy and the “New Age” movement, which believes that the power of energy waves will force our universe to staple together.
Nor can we forget that “positive idea,” a well-known – and sold – theory of self-motivation. That theory is able to give us much of the energy and confidence we need . At the same time, the “law of attraction” includes psychological dimensions that are seen as acceptable in different psychological fields:
- Cognitive theory : An ideal perspective on a learning platform where processes such as observation and memory acquire information and make changes. We can think of people, for example, who are trying to quit smoking. By visualizing themselves starting the day without that much coveted cigarette, they can initiate a change. In other words, the idea helps us achieve our goals, just as the law of attraction shows.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy : What is interesting about this psychological tendency is that it teaches us that our thoughts are the origin of our feelings and behaviors. Never the other way around. In other words, we control our emotions by changing our thoughts. If I think I’m leaving the problem to it and convince myself to achieve the goal, eventually my thoughts will be directed at my ability to achieve it.
An alternative to the law of attraction: action
Our request should be for our universe or other greater power around us. Of course, it has value when it can bring enthusiasm, positivity and gratitude to us.
But as we know, asking for it is not enough. It is not enough to just focus on humble requests if we are not prepared to put our own contribution to the cause. It is always necessary to maintain a positive attitude, however, to a reasonable and logical extent. The decisions we make in our lives never happen just by thinking, wanting, and wishing.
We adopt the law of attraction when it acts as an incentive for attitude change. Thinking that change is also needed in front of the things we want. The law of attraction only works if it is complemented by action to achieve what we want. Once you open your eyes and desire, the engine of change will also start.
Don’t think your energies will automatically work on their own. Increase your own means, strategies, and build paths. Understand that each achievement also involves our own strength and commitment. A force by which we can be proud of ourselves.
The law of attraction serves as a good concept of motivation. However, it is good to approach things objectively and keep in mind the numerous self-help books of our time about our “positive thoughts”. Never forget your confidence! Let your thoughts and actions build the path you want. A path that will make you happy and worth fighting for.
